Accessibility Statement

At DCU Press we are committed to making our content available to all readers and adhering to the WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines.

All our books and journals are produced with accessibility in mind – they are carefully formatted texts and have a logical reading structure, with sequential headings. Please see below for more details.

Web pdfs and EPUBs

• In collaboration with UCL Press, typesetters and designers use the latest version of InDesign which tags all text elements and is optimised for accessibility.
• The primary open-access format for books is a web-ready PDF. Our web-ready PDFs have extensive hyperlinking and are bookmarked to offer the reader a more interactive experience than a flat PDF.
• The EPUB files are reflowable, with hyperlinked headings, subheadings, figures etc
